In the classroom, writing prompts were always a hit in my writing center. The trick was that they were intriguing and more often than not, sparked curiosity, amusement, and the imagination.
Check out these Halloween themed prompts. Cut them into strips, put them in a mysterious box, and ask your child to select one. He/she may ask you what to do with it. Suggest a story, a comic, or a picture. Who knows, creative juices may start flowing!
